Zach Roberts

Zach Roberts joined McMahan Winstead & Richardson as a Legislative Intern in December 2019, before becoming the Communications and Government Affairs Manager in September 2020. Prior to joining McMahan Winstead & Richardson, Zach interned at Baker Group Strategies where he aided in supporting the launch of Senator Bill Hagerty’s successful Senate Campaign.

Zach is a native Nashvillian and a graduate of Montgomery Bell Academy. He attended Austin Peay State University where he played football and held various leadership positions within the Sigma Chi fraternity. After transferring from Austin Peay to Belmont, Zach joined College Republicans, where he served as Director of Events for the Belmont College Republican chapter and on the Tennessee College Republican Executive Committee.

Prior to entering the political landscape, Zach became the third generation of his family to found a full-service landscape company that specialized in turf management. After rapidly growing the company, he exited the industry to pursue his true passion in aiding businesses to navigate the political environment.

Zach lives in the Nations neighborhood and is greatly passionate about giving back to his community. He is a member of the Park Center Associate Board, Social Committee Co-Chair of the Tomorrow Fund Advisory Board, Civics and Sponsorship Committees of the Nashville Junior Chamber, Nashville Entrepreneur Center, Nashville Sports Council, Nashville, and Clarksville Sigma Chi Alumni Chapters, Music City Young Professionals, and an array of other organizations in the Greater Middle Tennessee area.

Why McMahan Winstead & Richardson?

Over 3,500 bills are filed during each General Assembly. Without sufficient staff and resources, there is no way that every legislator can be an expert on every issue.

We are a valuable resource to legislators. Let us become a valuable resource for you – no one works harder or smarter, and we’ll give you 110%, 100% of the time.
